Good public marketing (social marketing) focuses on achieving a measurable difference to the beliefs and behavior of the intended target audience by using the most economical and effective mix of knowledge, resources, money, power and persuasion. In our view, many social marketing initiatives miss the mark as they have been misguided by consultants with inadequate social marketing appreciation.
